What's Growin' on...?
Limestone Mountain Farm is going to have more water troughs operating, and an alternative energy system to pump that water up the hill to the uphill troughs! Check back later for photos as this long-awaited project--part of an NRCS "spring development" and rotational grazing set of enhancements--gets underway in the Spring of 2010...for now, as can be seen in this photo, the "Limestone Girls" (Faith, Hope, Charity, & Justice) enjoyed grazing this summer in the newly-divided lower pasture.

In this photo, the metal building (next year to be the night-time 'fold' for feeder lambs, OR the place I'll be putting the poultry, until they're big enough to graze outside) is the backdrop. You can also see some of the new fence capably and superbly built by the wonderful folks of Bland Fencing of Petersburg, WV http://www.blandfencing.com and the road newly built to replace the prior older, narrower, and more prone to soil erosion road.
